This one was a tough one! As one would imagine, choreographing dances is quite difficult, especially considering that many make a career out of it. Animating dances isn't as simple as stringing dance moves together randomly and having them work. Dances require a specific character and flow to feel natural and appropriate. This, on top of all the physicality, makes animating dances very challenging. I used a lot of kpop (you can see influences of it in the first ideation phase) and modern hip hop reference to finally land on something that was a mix of moonwalking and variation of circle/glide turning. I felt that it something like this felt appropriate for Jhin's personality in this universe where he orchestrates stars and planets to his bidding, as if he's lavishing in his own composition. Hopefully the final dance feels technically deep but seemingly effortless.
