Progression Reel for the stages Star Guardian Zoe's Recall Animation went through. Hit me up if you have any thoughts are questions on the process!
This patch of star guardians was the first time where we introduced a larger evil power! Since it fit her personality so well, I wanted to show the crazy side of Zoe when she relishes in deleting her enemies with one combo. The recall features a variation of a mahou shoujo transformation (alongside her familiar) and an ending where she somewhat narcissistic but also briefly yandere. It's this really interesting mix of cute/bubbly but also indulgent in other people's suffering that was fun to explore.
Zoe herself is really fun to work on b/c her proportions are so cute and appealing. With a really large head, expressions for her are really easy to read and worthwhile to work on, relatively speaking. Other characters in League suffer from more normal proportions (thus, small heads) and are seen from very far away in game so expressions are pretty low in terms of hierarchical read.
